What is a firewall?

The Firewall prevents unsolicited traffic from and to your computer, while the anti-virus and anti-spyware scans the files you do send and receive via e-mails and normal web browsing. Here at DeBog we use everything to protect our computers just as anyone else would. If adware is able to penetrate your system, it most likely is caught by the firewall.

The same goes for spyware. The firewall can stop the spyware from sending out your confidential information thus giving you time to find it and eliminate the spyware from you pc without any harm coming to you.

NOTE: Windows XP built in firewall does not prevent outgoing traffic from possible security leaking spyware
